Sea Data was a start-up designer and manufacturer of underwater instruments for oceanographic research. Pacer Systems , which acquired Sea Data in 1988, was a services company focused primarily on government contracts.
As the Director of Engineering, he led a team of 12 engineers and running the development and manufacturing operations. Sea Data’s instruments involved in-situ scientific data processing, storage and wireless transmissions and they were well known for their accuracy and robustness in harsh deployment environments.
In the early 80′s he expanded Sea Data’s operations with the Bridge Computer division, to market scientific workstations for researchers and other instrument developers.
